The Alexandria & Mount Vernon tour is one of the most popular attraction in Washington DC tourism. It is one of the top landmarks after we drive through Old Alexandria, some 20 miles south of DC. It gives you a unique view of George Washington monument with a drive through George Washington Memorial Parkway on the way to Old Alexandria. Come experience the boyhood home of Robert E Lee, Christ Church, George Washington masonic temple, Lyceum Museum and more… The tour will proceed with a visit of the Mt Vernon home of George Washington that lasts approximately 2 hours or more. Inside the plantation you will have the opportunity to listen to an audio tour as you visit the estate, the museum and the tombs of George and Martha Washington. The audio is a narrated exploration of the lives of Washington’s family, and friends and his enslaved workers. The audio tour discusses and interprets the stops inside the George Washington estate.
You will get a chance to listen to onsite experts share the history of the buildings in the plantation.
